Oh, that is gorgeous. I've been wanting to learn how to crochet for forever---once upon a time I was sort of taught how to knit, but not how to cast on or cast off, so I basically made an extremely long and neverending blue scarf that is probably somewhere in my family's knitting basket from the 1980s. :)
I don't know how quick or prolific you are, but you could sell scarves and blankets like this for a pretty penny! I hope that doesn't offend you. Of course crafting for pleasure or gifting is wonderful also.
This piece reminds me of a more mod-stylie version of an afghan from Garnet Hill called "Haverhill". I've been looking at Etsy for similar-but-homemade afghans and scarves, mostly because my sister wanted the GH scarf and it seemed like a ripoff for its size, but I've seen few to none that are as beautifully involved as this one of yours. Truly stunning.
